Summer OOTD

Summer is honestly the most weird time of the year. Sometimes it just so great and sometimes not so great. One day we are so happy that it’s sunny and warm because we get to go to B-E-A-C-H and only outfit we need is swimsuit. And some days we are running to work and dripping sweat as we get out of the subway figuring out why the heck we wore a long-sleeve. It’s just a lot of mixed feelings.

NYC has been little chilly lately with all that wind and rain.I honestly just couldn’t wait to put on my new sweatshirt from Urban Outfitters. If you watched my recent YouTube video, I actually talked a lot about this item and some of my other purchases from Asos. I paired this sweatshirt with my jersey shorts from Asos which I am so obsessed with right now. It’s pink and so soft definitely one of my favorite shorts. I finished my look with my flamingo socks from Old Navy and my all time favorite sneakers from Lacoste.

So, this time I wanted to add a little twist and mix it up with some neutrals. I picked out a few of my favorites from Topman to complete this look. Check them out below along with some other neutrals that I have picked out!

Orlando Theme Parks Recap

Whenever I want to get away from the city, I choose to go to Miami. It’s always a blast with the beach and food. This time I wanted to try something different and during my search Orlando popped up. Since theme parks are my thing and every summer I would spend a lot of time in Coney Island so I thought I would give it a try.

Orlando is very spread-out and not to mention full of bugs. This is actually a central Florida problem apparently. We stayed at an Airbnb that was only 15 min away from the airport, but a little far from theme parks. Every day we used Lyft cause there was no Uber pool in the area and UberX was just not affordable.

First few places we checked out were in International Drive. It’s a very touristy area since its surrounded with a lot of hotels, but it has a few cool attractions. We tried Orlando EyeSea Life and they were amazing. Orlando eye is very magical at night and you can see the whole city when you are on the top. Just make sure to check the weather because depending on how bad it is they close it for a few hours or for the whole day. Sea Life takes you through the journey of diving deep into the ocean and exploring all the organisms there. It’s just incredible and if you saw my Instagram stories you would know how cool this place was. My recent motion video was shot at Sea Life.

Next day, we visited Universal’s new theme park that just opened this summer referred as the Volcano Bay. We had mixed feelings before we visited the park because the reviews on google weren’t that great. We were just afraid that it would be at capacity by the time we arrive and won’t be even able to get in. This was one of the few complaints.

We arrived there around 9:15 am and it was pretty full. Unlike any other parks, this one uses a new technology. Some people again weren’t very happy about this, but I was. It’s honestly the beginning of the new era; virtual lines. They give you a wearable device at the entrance and that’s how you find out your wait time when you tap for each ride. Depending on the ride, wait times vary from 15 min to 250 min (not kidding). It’s worth it though!

You are pretty much drenched most of the rides so definitely wear your swimsuit before and bring a towel. Don’t forget to buy a dining plan before you enter the bay. It’s super expensive to buy food once you are in. The Most importantly have fun and get ready for adrenaline rush!

What to do this 4th of July

What to do this 4th of July?

I can’t believe it’s already 4th of July and next thing we know summer will be over soon, but right now let’s focus on this long weekend. You either have something planned or nothing at all which I don’t judge 🙂  Regardless what you have planned or not planned, hopefully this post will give you some ideas in terms of what you could do or what you could wear this 4th of July.

BEACH VIBES

Weather is going to be really nice, so it’s would be perfect to lie on the beach and get tan while sipping some margaritas. Nearest beaches you could go in New York City are Brighton Beach, Far Rockaway Beach and lastly Manhattan Beach. All of these are accessible with the subway and would not take you more than an hour to get there depending where you coming from. Personally I love Far Rockaway Beach although it takes a while to get there from where I live, it is totally worth it. It is very clean comparing to the other two and it has a huge food court with tacos, burgers, wings and good boozes. I also linked a few outfit ideas for this short beach trip below!

PARTY VIBES

Another thing you could do is to sleep until 3 in the afternoon and get ready for a crazy and wild night in the city. I have got a few ideas for you depending on what you are in the mood for and if you actually want to dress up. I think rooftop parties are so fun especially in New York. You have got great view and boozes, it’s just a totally different experience. Try this Rooftop Party in Hudson Terrace and make sure to read the description carefully because sometimes they are extra picky with the dress code like last time they didn’t let us in because I was wearing white shoes. Here a few more parties;  Pre-4th of July and Open Bar and BBQ Party.  Outfit ideas also linked below!

HAPPY 4TH!

Motivation is the key

Motivation

Everyone wants to be fit, but no one wants to do the work. Sometimes we just want things to happen right away, but what we forget is that it actually matters what we wear when we go to gym or workout. Depending on what your style is, a cute outfit can really motivate you to actually hit the gym or do something active. Trust me on this, you will be surprised!

I partnered with Masterclass Apparel  to show you guys what you could do to motivate yourself or add some new styles to your active look.  You can’t always force yourself to do things that your body is not used to be doing. An outfit that fits you well could make a huge difference in this case. It’s only going to make you feel better about yourself and help you push harder!

Masterclass apparel is a luxurious activewear for men. It’s super soft and comfortable. It has various choices to choose from in terms of style and color. You can pick anything from signature pieces, camouflage and deep sea collection or just lifestyle accessories. I personally like the camouflage collection because I think it looks very interesting and different for a workout look.  Everything linked below from this look!

Quality over Quantity delivered by DSTLD

Quality over Quantity

Quality is something that sometimes we tend to ignore. We don’t pay attention what the product is actually made of or how it feels when we try it on rather we pay attention to what it looks like.  It is certainly crucial to pick a clothing item that is visually appealing, but if the quality is poor that it’s only a matter of time before someone throws it away. DSTLD is one of brands that I was not really familiar with and I have to say, I am late in the game. Felt like I have been living under a rock this whole time 🙂

When I tried on their white tee, felt like I was not wearing anything. It’s super light and I would say a little see-through. It’s perfect for the summer! It is super soft like the pillow on your bed. It comes in a few colors like black, grey and charcoal and variations such as crew neck, modern neck and long sleeve.

The jeans that I was wearing felt really comfortable as well. It fits great and again feels super soft. I personally love the faded black color because the fade kind of brings an ombre feel to this pants, but there are various options and colors to choose from. Skinny, Slim, Straight and Raw, you have got at least one fit to try for yourself!

Best Outfit Combo of All Times

Best Outfit Combo of All Times

Best Outfit Combo of All Times

Best Outfit Combo of All Times

The past couple of days weather in NYC has been very chilly. It almost felt like, we were back in March and ready to stroll around the city with our  bomber jackets on. It has been an interesting, yet very confusing experience to be totally prepared for the weather. No worries though, I put together a few outfit ideas for a last minute weather change, so you could be all prepared for your next adventure in the city or whatever you are off to.

RAINY DAY

This outfit combo is for the days that weather is gross and just does not seem to warm up at all. This will help you to keep yourself dry and warm at the same time.

SUNNY DAY

This is the combo to walk around the city and on the way to beach with iced coffee in your hand. It’s just a great day to wear as little layer as possible to feel comfortable and cool even when its too hot to step outside.

WINDY DAY

This combo is for the days that weather seems so nice, but temperature and wind just do not seem to correlate together with what you see.  You feel confused and upset because you are wearing a tank or a t-shirt while shivering on the sidewalk waiting for the crosswalk sign to come on.

A Simple Touch of Design

A simple touch

A simple touch

A simple touch

As many of you can tell, I am not a big fan of accessories. I do wear them occasionally when my outfit desperately requires, but most of the time I keep it simple and don’t add anything. However, anything with unique design can certainly change this fact. Because who am I kidding, I live for design.

Although I have a very colorful and bold style when it comes to styling and art, I do appreciate simplicity time to time. Depending on what I wear or what I make, sometimes that little simple component makes a huge difference and this is how I came across Orikami. A concept store that makes unique and simple products for home decor, toys, gadgets and jewelry.

Because I wanted to go with a very simple addition to my outfit, I chose a tiny lightning necklace. I am not going to lie one of the reasons I chose it because I am still super obsessed with ‘Flash’, but also I liked how simple it was. If you ever want to add something little or minimal to your home or your outfit, check them out and maybe you will find your favorite TV show necklace too:)
