Orlando Theme Parks Recap

Whenever I want to get away from the city, I choose to go to Miami. It’s always a blast with the beach and food. This time I wanted to try something different and during my search Orlando popped up. Since theme parks are my thing and every summer I would spend a lot of time in Coney Island so I thought I would give it a try.

Orlando is very spread-out and not to mention full of bugs. This is actually a central Florida problem apparently. We stayed at an Airbnb that was only 15 min away from the airport, but a little far from theme parks. Every day we used Lyft cause there was no Uber pool in the area and UberX was just not affordable.

First few places we checked out were in International Drive. It’s a very touristy area since its surrounded with a lot of hotels, but it has a few cool attractions. We tried Orlando EyeSea Life and they were amazing. Orlando eye is very magical at night and you can see the whole city when you are on the top. Just make sure to check the weather because depending on how bad it is they close it for a few hours or for the whole day. Sea Life takes you through the journey of diving deep into the ocean and exploring all the organisms there. It’s just incredible and if you saw my Instagram stories you would know how cool this place was. My recent motion video was shot at Sea Life.

Next day, we visited Universal’s new theme park that just opened this summer referred as the Volcano Bay. We had mixed feelings before we visited the park because the reviews on google weren’t that great. We were just afraid that it would be at capacity by the time we arrive and won’t be even able to get in. This was one of the few complaints.

We arrived there around 9:15 am and it was pretty full. Unlike any other parks, this one uses a new technology. Some people again weren’t very happy about this, but I was. It’s honestly the beginning of the new era; virtual lines. They give you a wearable device at the entrance and that’s how you find out your wait time when you tap for each ride. Depending on the ride, wait times vary from 15 min to 250 min (not kidding). It’s worth it though!

You are pretty much drenched most of the rides so definitely wear your swimsuit before and bring a towel. Don’t forget to buy a dining plan before you enter the bay. It’s super expensive to buy food once you are in. The Most importantly have fun and get ready for adrenaline rush!

Quality over Quantity

Quality is something that sometimes we tend to ignore. We don’t pay attention what the product is actually made of or how it feels when we try it on rather we pay attention to what it looks like.  It is certainly crucial to pick a clothing item that is visually appealing, but if the quality is poor that it’s only a matter of time before someone throws it away. DSTLD is one of brands that I was not really familiar with and I have to say, I am late in the game. Felt like I have been living under a rock this whole time 🙂

When I tried on their white tee, felt like I was not wearing anything. It’s super light and I would say a little see-through. It’s perfect for the summer! It is super soft like the pillow on your bed. It comes in a few colors like black, grey and charcoal and variations such as crew neck, modern neck and long sleeve.

The jeans that I was wearing felt really comfortable as well. It fits great and again feels super soft. I personally love the faded black color because the fade kind of brings an ombre feel to this pants, but there are various options and colors to choose from. Skinny, Slim, Straight and Raw, you have got at least one fit to try for yourself!

Best Outfit Combo of All Times

The past couple of days weather in NYC has been very chilly. It almost felt like, we were back in March and ready to stroll around the city with our  bomber jackets on. It has been an interesting, yet very confusing experience to be totally prepared for the weather. No worries though, I put together a few outfit ideas for a last minute weather change, so you could be all prepared for your next adventure in the city or whatever you are off to.

RAINY DAY

This outfit combo is for the days that weather is gross and just does not seem to warm up at all. This will help you to keep yourself dry and warm at the same time.

SUNNY DAY

This is the combo to walk around the city and on the way to beach with iced coffee in your hand. It’s just a great day to wear as little layer as possible to feel comfortable and cool even when its too hot to step outside.

WINDY DAY

This combo is for the days that weather seems so nice, but temperature and wind just do not seem to correlate together with what you see.  You feel confused and upset because you are wearing a tank or a t-shirt while shivering on the sidewalk waiting for the crosswalk sign to come on.

A Simple Touch of Design

A simple touch

A simple touch

As many of you can tell, I am not a big fan of accessories. I do wear them occasionally when my outfit desperately requires, but most of the time I keep it simple and don’t add anything. However, anything with unique design can certainly change this fact. Because who am I kidding, I live for design.

Although I have a very colorful and bold style when it comes to styling and art, I do appreciate simplicity time to time. Depending on what I wear or what I make, sometimes that little simple component makes a huge difference and this is how I came across Orikami. A concept store that makes unique and simple products for home decor, toys, gadgets and jewelry.

Because I wanted to go with a very simple addition to my outfit, I chose a tiny lightning necklace. I am not going to lie one of the reasons I chose it because I am still super obsessed with ‘Flash’, but also I liked how simple it was. If you ever want to add something little or minimal to your home or your outfit, check them out and maybe you will find your favorite TV show necklace too:)

You can’t go wrong with pink right?! That’s exactly what I thought when I picked out this long-sleeve vintage T-shirt from Nordstrom. Although I was not quite sure how it would turn out due to still being new to Vineyard Vines and not very familiar with their style and sizes, I was very happy when I tried it on.

It’s super soft and a great casual shirt to wear for any occasion to make you feel like at home. They come in a lot of colors. So no need to worry, you will for sure find your favorite color combo. I paired it up with sweats from Topman because I did not feel like putting jeans on #FirstWorldProblems.

However, this would be a great T-shirt to match with jeans especially with light wash or just white ones would make a really fun look.  I linked everything below through the carousel. Check it out and let me know what’s your favorite!

Time Journey

There are a lot of things that we have control over in our lives. We can control how we eat, how we dress and how we speak, but when it comes to time we have no control. Sometimes it flies so fast without us realizing it and sometimes it feels like we are living our lives in slow motion.

We manage our time with our smartphones and watches. Personally, I never realized watch is something that I would use on a daily basis since I am on my phone most of the time. It just never seemed such an important accessory to me until I discovered Jord. I fell in love with this cool watch as soon as I wore it on my wrist.

It has a very classic feel to it, yet it is very modern. Natural Olive and Acacia wooden band and a sapphire crystal glass complete this unique watch. Clasp with push buttons make it so easy to put it on and the watch looks super elegant from any angle. Does not matter what you are pairing it up with, it is a great accessory to have and a perfect timepiece to wear for any occasions.

Jord watches are completely automatic. They require no battery and power reserve for 36 hours. Most importantly they are splash proof, so no need to worry when you wash your hands. Check these unique wood watches from this link and don’t forget to sign up for my giveaway worth $100!

Spring Outlook

Spring is ahead of us and thanks to global warming it looks like it’s coming sooner than we expected. In order to help you out, I put together a casual look for you to try after gym or any casual activity that you might be doing during this spring.

The Windbreaker jacket I picked out is from Urban Outfitters. It’s super comfy and light. You won’t even feel like you are wearing a jacket. It’s definitely a spring material and a good after attire to keep you cool.

Tank top is from Old Navy and it comes in various different colors. Recently just got on sale and now is only 7 dollars. Don’t miss out!

Sweats are from H&M and they come in grey and white. If you want to brighten up your day, I would say go with white!

The last, but not least are the shoes. They are from Urban Outfitters just like the Windbreaker jacket. They come in black and white. Depending on which color you choose for your sweats, I would suggest go the opposite so it won’t clash.

Check them out below and get your favorites before spring hits here 😉

Denim on denim

Introducing you denim on denim in this post. I am very excited because I am showing you this style with my shorts. Yes, in the middle of January. Thanks to global warming this Thursday I got a chance to take off everything I was wearing. I meant most of the things I hated wearing like my coat, boots and stuff. Instead I wore my sneakers, light denim jacket and shorts.

I linked everything I am wearing down below. Check them out and shop your favorite. My all time favorite is ‘Happy Socks‘ which is why I paired them with Lacoste sneakers to add some color to this look.

Sherman Style

Sherman

Christmas is officially over. While everyone is still recovering from what they ate or their hungover, you do not have time to wait around for that. Before you know it, 2017 will be here. That means it is time to farewell 2016 the most incredible way possible.

You need to finish the year strong and the best way to do that is to keep your look as stylish as possible. In order to inspire you, I paired a classy look for you in this post. I combined a few of my favorites and a Ben Sherman jacket that I got as a gift. Everything linked down below!
