The Dream Sequel

Dreams are the sweetest things in life. For some it’s going to college or getting a new job, but for others it is a lifetime happiness and health. This 10 seconds long clip is precisely trying to portray this concept; a concept of what dreams are made of.

It portrays the stages of building an idea of a dream. In the first stage the letters come together to portray the structure of the dream. I made the ‘dream’ typography by using Adobe Sketch on my iPhone.

The following portrays the stages of how one dream grows. First it is just an idea then idea becomes a concept then concept eventually leads to a reality.

In order to portray these various stages, I added a few effects around the text with Adobe After Effects. First effect I used was a stroke which followed the path I drew on top of the word. In order to make it dreamlike, I kept the colors neon with another effect Colorama. Lastly, I added a card wipe effect to make a smooth transition between the colors.
